Missy used Hypnobabies to stay calm and comfortable during her birth. You can see her using her center switch and being very interactive between pressure waves. I was lucky enough to be her Hypnobabies Instructor and her Hypno-doula. You can learn more about my Hypnobabies classes and doula services and a free book The Top Three Tips to Enjoy Your Birth at http://www.enjoybirth.com

  • This was her 2nd baby.

  • Why doesn't everyone use the word pressure wave? The word contraction sounds scary.

  • @shybettigurl Good question. I guess because most people don't even think about the words they use, or their impact.

  • @EnjoyBirth I don;t have a problem with the word contraction, but if it bothers others, then by all means, call it something else, right? I find it harder to remember to "translate" the various words! I just am that way. Muscles contract, that;s what they do. pain is a feeling, that's all. I did bradley for my first two, (loved it!) added hypno for #3 (#4 is due any day). I think those techniques work well together. I love natural childbirth, thanks for your videos!

  • @j8nnyl Glad you enjoy the videos. :) What words mean to YOU is what matters. If a mom has a negative connotation to a word, it is important if she uses a different one.

    Have a great birth. :)

  • Were you able to stay this calm during pushiing???

  • @jcardbcard Missy did stay calm while pushing. :)

  • @219snowbird Some people have a negative connotation to the word contraction - most automatically think pain. Pressure wave is more neutral. People hear it and think - pressure instead of discomfort.

  • I am 16 weeks prego and I have been reading the hypnobirthing book with my hubby and listening to the CD that came along with it. Unfortunately there are no classes in my area, so these videos are very helpful. This is my 3rd child and my first hypnobirth, and I'm excited about it!!

  • @nawmmbr have a look at mine, it's on youtube and shows my second stage Joshua's hypnobirth

  • @nawmmbr ooh, also there are a couple of videos that are ALL about pushing with Hypnobabies. They're called "Mother-Directed Pushing". Hope this helps!

  • @nawmmbr

Tanya's Hypnobirth shows her in active labor, transition, and she pushes. Same channel, check it out!

  • This is the third hypno birth I've watched. I don't believe it works: 1) They don't show the Mother in ACTIVE LABOR (when mother has contractions with only 30 seconds to 1 minute to recover or less). 2) They don't show the mother during push time. The mother could be shown from the chest up, if she did not want to be shown from the waist down. Every HB I've watched these parts have been deleted. I was able to breathe through my labor but when contraction came closer I needed epidural

  • Is this your first child?

  • I like pressure wave better too I'm working on switching my verbage
