Shader is a young pit bull who was used as a bait dog to train others for dog fights. How he got away is a miracle, but he did, and was eventually brought to Pet Rescue By Judy of Sanford Florida.
People fail to realize that dog fighters are always on the look out for animals to use as bait. One of their favorite resources is "Free To Good Home" ads on Craigs list or other locations. Never ever ever give away an animal to someone you don't know well. These people who use bait dogs are very good at getting them. They smile, they say all the things you want to hear, because this is business for them. They are not casual in their goal; big money in dog fighting! Always ask for an adoption fee. Better yet, do a home check. And have a signed legal document that requires they provide appropriate care and return the pet to you should they not be able to keep it. Is this worth the trouble? Look at Shader. What you can't see very well are all the old scars. How many times was he used as bait. I shudder to think!
Pass this video on. Educate others. Stop this abuse!

They need to do something about dog fighting rings. Set a harder law for it.
Dont allow folks to adopt pitpulls without interviewing them.
I believe in Karma. Those mother f*ckers will get it one day.

FREE TO GOOD HOME....MEANS....FREE FIGHTING DOG....FREE BAIT DOG....FREE DOG TO ABUSE....FREE DOG TO NEGLECT....SOME OF YOU MAY HAVE GOOD STORIES ABOUT "FREE TO GOOD HOME"...BUT ALL TOO OFTEN THE OWNERS HANDS OVER THE DOG WITHOUT ANY QUESTIONS...IT MAKES THEM FEEL BETTER THAT THEIR DOG IS GOING TO A "GOOD HOME" SOME OWNERS SHOULD BE CHARGED WITH NEGLECT WHEN THIS HAPPENS....THEY ARE BETTER OFF GOING TO A NO KILL SHELTER!!!!!!!!!!

This is horrible! Thanks for posting, I did not know this information. I am now glad most organizations are now screening the adopters, going to their homes before and after, asking questions and such before the animal can be adopted.

Jackie is the wonderful person who nursed Shader back to health. When she saw him, her heart broke ~ she just knew no one would ever want him. Well, now he is healthy, happy and loving as can be! With a little pursuation from Judy, she has agreed to let us make him available for adoption just to see if someone worthy comes along! Personally, I have no doubt that we will quickly find Shader a home. In the meanwhile, he is at Jackie's house, rearranging her couch cushions!

But I beg to differ, the title should be,

I look for those ad's all the time, maybe I can save a Life before it goes to the pound or the likes of this but to insinuate THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU POST...
is not an very accurate and the paranoia, to think they bring children - WTF? You need to prove that BS.
There's a TYPE and AGE that does this shit...THINK ABOUT IT.

I appreciate your concern and efforts, but you will note that the second black screen reads "This Is What Can Happen To Free Pets". The point of this video is to raise the awareness of naive people as to who might be replying to their ads. You are obviously already aware. Most people are not.
