@Chinaculiacan You're right. I should say I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Sometimes I get caught up using the term "Mormon" because it's what most people refer to us as. Thank you!

@TheAwkwardCows I'm not a Christian. Yes you are correct there is Polygamy in the bible like there is Rape and Killing of Children which was practiced by the 'early church' you speak about. Those Biblical Israelites were a nasty piece of work on many occasions.
You mean well but really I think debating on you tube is not a good idea for you.
, I like ordinary LDS like yourself, but I can't extend that compliment to your church founders like J. Smith and B.Young. They are not worthy.

@TheAwkwardCows Yeah, u don't drink alcohol, tea, coffee, and lol. Higher standard? Yeap I couldn't have expect any other answer from a Mormon! when you feel you've done enogh to prove urself before God, stop.

@ElderJoseph I'm not sure if you are a christian, but if you read the bible there are moments in time when polygamy was practiced. Polygamy was practiced in the early church, but was ended shortly after Brigham Young's time.

Those who see Christ in the flesh and deny him will go to outer darkness (or hell). Brigham young said, that many would commit suicide if they knew the glory of the Telestial Kingdom. The reason we have temple covenants is so we can be sealed in families and hopefully move onto the Celestial Kingdom. We do not know what kingdom anyone is going to, and can't judge. Only God knows the intentions of our hearts. This is called the Plan of Salvation.

We believe that God once went through a earthly life similar to ours, where he was tested and tried. He obtained celestial glory and created us, and now he wants us to obtain the same celestial glory that he has. Celestial glory is the highest kingdom in heaven where families are sealed together, and further glory can be obtained. The Terrestrial Kingdom is where good people who didn't accept covenants will go. The Telestial Kindom is where those who reject Christ will go.

@Chinaculiacan I don't think you understand what being a member is all about. We believe in God the Eternal Father and in his son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost. We hold ourselves to a higher standard so we wear modest clothing, follow the Word of Wisdom (no drinking tea, coffee, alcohol, doing drugs, and more), and we also believe that everyone is a child of God. Kalob? Kolab is another word for heaven that was used more in the 1800's. We believe that lust is wrong, but no one is perfect.

@TheAwkwardCows Well, isn't what u guys are? Mormons! U r a member? and that means what? that u get to live in Kalob with your many spiritual wives? or that u'll become a god? or that obeying the priesthood u'll get to go to heaven? or that by wearing an underware you'll b closer 2 God? or by tithing? or not drinking alcohol? but is ok to lust at girls behinds? or by having a number in a building? or by believing joe? u want me to go on?

@TheAwkwardCows Not only this video, Your own history! You forgot to say I am a Christian, believing in Christ is what makes u a Christian, but instead u said I am a mormon! becuase u believed a man called Jose, a man that took other mans wives, little girls, and killed in his last days! Yeah you are a Mormon, Yes he loves, even me? ofcourse, my sins were great! but my Savior is greater!! keep your priesthood duties and ur tithing, it won't help u when u stand b4 God. His coming Rev 1:8.

@TheAwkwardCows " instead of blindly believing a video post on YouTube"
People don't blindly believe a video post on you tube, they research for themselves. I can assure you I was shocked and saddened when I discovered Brigham Young condemning monogomy.
Have you yourself researched the teachings of Brigham Young as recorded in LDS Journal of Discourses?
Most likely you haven't and I'm saddened in a way that you have come across this video. Perhaps ask your parents about Brigham Young.
Mormons believe in only having one spouse. Why do you twist and derange these words into hateful spite? Everyone has the right to their own religion.

@TheAwkwardCows I really want to believe you and I wish it was so. Yes Mormons only have one wife in our current day but that was imposed on them by Law and a condition of Utah being accepted as a State. However Polygamy is really the belief of the LDS church, whether you personally like it or not, it's still the central Mormon belief of marriage arrangement in Mormon Celestial Kingdom.
You have a right to your religion but not the right to mislead and deceive others into joining it.
