@lordangelic, You're an airhead. That was 70 years ago, and the West isn't just the US. The point of my comment is that China's rise is primarily due to copying & stealing the "West's" technology, which is different than what happened in the US. We didn't steal everyone's technology, nor did foreign companies from around the world use the US for cheap labor. The Americans and immigrants who became citizens were innovators. China is also an authoritarian regime that will threaten the free world

The rise of China is quite different from that of the US. The industrialization of the US was built on innovation, but China's rise is based on plagiarism. That's right; China copies and steals the West's technology, or we're so stupid that our companies just give it to them for short-term profits. Our corporations are myopic morons who have sold out this country for short-term profits while the Chinese just copy everything and resell it. The world is in deep trouble with China's rise.
