finaly some one ansered my questiong I Have been wanting to hear and that is if you can hook a gride tire inverter to a regular inverter because when you lose power you lose power and I want to build a big APC system that when I lose power it dosconnect some the main and when power comes back it recconects to the main feding power to the gride when its there and when gride is off I sill have power with out putting power back in the gride just like and APC unite. thanks for vid.

Good set up ! More info on where you bought items and view of panels. I am looking to get started on a grid tie system & how you connect it you house power bx et. Thanks for sharing!

your making more power from your solar then you are using, thus its going from gridtie back into your inverters 120vac side... Not sure how you accomplished this, but this deffinetly requires some looking in to as inverters that create the power modified or sine, usually dont like being back feed... Good job, im gonna try this out on my setup to get exact data on it.. Keep up the great work man!

I did the experiment this week. My MSW (2500w stackable) inverter was feeding
about 200-300w of house loads. I then connected the AC out from a 1200w PowerJack GTI to the loads.
In 10-15 seconds, the GTI took over for the MSWI and cut it's power use (measured on the 48v battery line) down to 0.070 amp @ 48v. Which is idle for this MSWI.
Bad news, the waveform still looks like a MSW! No trace of sine in it.. :(
I guess this means that folks with Chinese GTIs can go Off-Grid if they need to.

at 1 minute in your say your GTI are feeding your Inverter so is the GTI plugged into the 110 volt sockets on the Inverter ? or are they both (GTI and Inverter) both plugged into your home wiring in Parallel ? I curious since I have the same inverter shipping to me and I have 2 GTI that all need to be setup in the next week. Thanks Great Vids

Congratulations sir!
You seem to have figured out how the grid-tied folks can get off the grid during grid power failures.
My experiment will use a 1200w powerjack GTI, a 400w pure-sine-wave inverter, a 500w PV array, feeding a TriStar TS-45 45 Amp charge controller that's charging a 48v battery bank.
1 battery will power the pure-sine inverter and 3 will power the GTI.
I figure the GTI will sync with the sine-wave source. All I have to do, is keep the
load low when it's cloudy. 500w?

@Schweizer135 hey there is always loss from heat, as long as they don`t max out. i have a 12v fan runing on them and noticed that the Gt fan comes on alot less. the 300W comes on the most, what ye think?
Yes the gti is plugged into the inverter 120 out let and so is the drill when I turn the drill on that is plugged in to the inverter the gti automatically starts to feed the inverter. Nice have fun !!!!!

LMFAO I love it! Your wife is your LOAD....hilarious that you are measuring draw off of her usage lmao.... Why is it funny? Because my GF uses about 50% of the total power of the house so I use her too....

@helloman1976 lol That is pretty funny .

Nice update! I have to admit that I'm not sure exactly what your doing, but seems cool. My question is that, wouldn't the Modified sinewave from the 3k inverter bump against the 380watts from the two puresine GTI?

@MrLagros check out my video on grid tie running small heater. No they don't bump they are both 120 and its sinks to the modified. My questioning don't no is if the modified gets changed to pure sine.nice question. Thanks

Nice test! is your inverter modified or pure sinewave?
