Pollyanna Part 9

Set in 1913, Pollyanna is the timeless tale of a little girl (Georgina Terry) who goes to live with her wealthy but bitter aunt (Amanda Burton) after the death of her father. Pollyanna's irrepressible enthusiasm for life brightens up the sleep village of Beldingville, particularly when she shares with the inhabitants a game - "The Glad Game" in which everyone can find a silver lining in the darkest cloud.

I have only ever seen the films but in the book, how did she become paralysed? Was it the same way or was it different?

There are two characters with nous in this film. Jimmy and the maid (I'm sorry I forgot her name). I love them both!
