Good Choice with the LS1 engine. I love the classic cars.. but Let me tell you, the new LS1 through LS7 chevy engines are so much better than the old small block 350's, 283's 327's, etc.. Better gas mileage, More horsepower, and they are more durable and maintenance free.. they don't even hardly give off any exhaust fumes. The Old small blocks are pretty much Old school now

GM should have Retro'ed this body style.

@streetk14 The blower i went with only has one pulley on the snout. Its called a radix and it is meant for Trucks and suv's (because of how it fits) My car, being a 3rd generation doesnt have the motor half way into the firewall like a 4th gen, so i can run this blower. There have only been a couple of people run them like this, if you want to see some pics of the build im following, go to Speartechs webstie and look up company project cars, and look at phase 2.
With that cam u put in did u have to a shit load of head and rocker work?

@Fuckimports11 Engine had Patriot Performance stage 2 (cnc ported) LQ9 heads. Basically, an LS2/LS6 head with a bigger CC to lower compression. I had stock LS1 rockers on that engine with Patriot springs and Manley pushrods. Pretty basic stuff really.....

what size tb did you use? and what pulley size? nice numbers btw.

@firechicken76 It had a 90mm throttle body. The blower was a 122 run with 1:1 rear pulleys. I think I was running a 2.8" front pulley, but it's been a while. Could have been a 2.6".

@streetk14 thats awesome, im in the process of installing an mp112 on my 88 trans am (ls1/t56), with a 2.9" front pulley, blower cam, 90mm tb, and 60# inj. Im hoping for 500rwhp.

@firechicken76 I'm not sure if you have installed your blower yet, but you might want to look into sending it back to Magnuson to have the rear pulleys changed to 1:1 or overdriven if you want to make some boost. This lets you run a larger front pulley for more belt grip.
