  • i think what you're doing is fantastic....the best people are always on a journey of transformation and evolution...and poetry is such a fine thing...it's one of those things that lifts man above his animal state...you've had quite a life sir and no one is more qualified to be putting it all into words..i take my hat off to you.

  • I prefer longer pieces, but some ideas are just not that fully developed when I get them, and, if i do not use them, they kind of wither.

    Si-jo is a good use for them. I tend to be a bit verbose, and have only been able to manage one decent senryu and a few tanka. Si-jo allows me to develop an idea a little further without rambling.
