can you use toothpicks??

@mjern858 yes, but you should put something at the end to stop the thread from slipping off. For instance you can use beads, wire, glued thread etc at the ends to make sure your umbrella stays in place,

i have an idea! how bout if u put a bit of glitter on the top where u can see

the cork! my neice made 5 of these but i gave her pom-poms and pipecleaners and she made a frilled lizard!

@25seze There is a trick for making these with toothpicks, use beads at the end of the toothpicks. I am using matches, but I paint the ends so they can no longer strike.
