Offshore Oil Platform Operation Lifelike Simulator with 3DVIA Studio

Live Demonstration of a platform operator routine duty developped with 3DVIA Studio, the video illustrates:
1) A fly around the complete facility
2) A decommissioning mission training:
On the deck footstep represent the path to follow to shutdown part of the system. As the operator traverses through the assigned tasks, they are presented with a tag item refecting the component identification. User click on the tag which then turns from red to green thereby documenting completion of the task.

Thanks to 3DVIA Studio Game Engine, It was fast to build a training application where operators can become familiar with the platform and what tasks need to be performed in the context of such very complex environment.

This amount of detail *only* in 3dvia???? I have a problem believing that. There had to be other programs involved as well.

@jnickence: CATIA was used for the original design of the platform, then DCC tools for beautifying and at the end 3DVIA Studio to make the scenario, rendering and interactivity.
