Jesus bleibet meine Freude,
Meines Herzens Trost und Saft,
Jesus wehret allem Leide,
Er ist meines Lebens Kraft,
Meiner Augen Lust und Sonne,
Meiner Seele Schatz und Wonne;
Darum lass ich Jesum nicht
Aus dem Herzen und Gesicht.


English:

Jesus shall remain my gladness,
Essence of my heart, its hope;
Jesus from all grief protecteth,
He is of my life its strength,
Of mine eyes the sun and pleasure,
Of my soul the joy and treasure;
Therefore I will Jesus not
From my heart and sight allow.

Jesús sigue siendo mi alegría,
consuelo y savia de mi corazón,
Jesús me defiende de toda pena,
Él es la fuerza de mi vida,

pure heavenly music in this the most famous and beautiful cantata written by Johann Sebastian around 1729-30, whenever I listen to his music , specially 24 karat golden jewels like this one I know that Bach wrote it having GOD beside him, eternally will live his music in men´s memory, a word for the excellent interpretation by the concentus musicum Vienna and the magistral direction of Harnouncourt and the chorus were according to the highness of this treasure, congratulations to Paquitolo

Surprisingly Bach did not compose the main theme of the 6th and 10th movement of this cantata. But his incredible harmonizing of that theme elevated the simple melody to something more memorable and of greater substance.
