On this night in KISStory, Peter Criss was "unable to play," and was thus replaced by his drum tech, Ed Kanon, who wore his costume and facepaint. The final KISS taboo is broken setting the stage for the future...
LineUp: Ed Canon, Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley

@rollergoalie16 I know this as the official version of this show and from the Reunion/Lost Cities Tour. But it wouldn't be strange if Gene and Peter have fighted that night.

Peter was dealing with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in his fingers and wrists and was unable to play some nights. This is well documented and should be common knowledge for KISS fans.

@FilipRapp Gene must have said that.....
You never know who is actually telling the truth. Gene, Paul, Peter, Ace??? Every interview they change their stories a bit somehow.

Not an easy task for Ed Cannon... To fill the shoes of Peter Criss during the reunion-tour when EVERYBODY just wanted to see the original lineup must have been a nightmare. He looks and sounds a bit nervous. But still - he was a trooper, saving the day! Peter Criss was said to be sick or something. But the truth was that he had an argument with Gene and refused to leave his hotel room to come and play.
