  • Gary Leeman, the Leafs last 50 goal scorer.

@robcrx you definitely need to upload the other games. way more entertaining than watching the pathetic squad or overall game we have right now.

I love how the ushers cheer as well. NOw all you see is hollow faces in the crowd if not empty seats altogether bought by corporations.

  • @supercooled what about andrychuk, didn't he score 50 something

  • Nice. I have this full game on dvd as well as 60+ other leaf games.

  • @ROBCRX you should upload some

  • What a great memory while watching the game from the green seats!! I was a teen and went to this game with my dad, and we still talk about this game today when mentioning comebacks. After the Leafs scored the 3rd goal, you could feel the excitement in the building grow. When they scored in OT, it was like winning game 7 in a playoff series. One of the very few good memories of the Leafs in the 80's for me. Thanks for sharing the video, it brought back good memories.

  • @supercooled - I agree with you about the corporations rant as well as your view about the overall game, but there is no way the 1989 team is better than the team we have today.

  • @tjackson76 - Yes. He scored 53 goals during the 1993 - 1994 season.

  • @journeythruthepast - Here's the thing to remember here about Osborne. He was traded with Olczyk to Winnipeg in the deal that brought Ellett here. I'm glad they ended up trading Lucien DeBlois to get him back.

  • @LimeZYX The 1989-90 Leaf squad was the only team to be .500 in the 1978-92 span. They didn't defend well but could shoot em up, finishing with the league's 5th best offense that year I believe. Of course 1990-91 was a total disaster and 1991-92 barely better so it didn't last. For the 93 run the only Leafs from this team left were probably Clark, Gill and Osborne.

  • @LimeZYX At this point, I'd rather watch an 80's Leaf squad bumble into the playoffs than watch the current flailing corpse of misery try to do simple things like kill a penalty or make a complete pass without falling over.

  • I miss the Maple Leaf Gardens. So much more excitement an energy there than there is at the corporate mausoleum Air Canada Center. And look! There are actual goddamn Leaf fans in the seats! Now the suits take up the entire lower bowl and are too busy in the lounge eating their caviar and sipping their martinis with their pinkies extended and wiping their asses with $100 bills.

  • looks like he did it in 93-94 with 53 goals. I think he had better players to feed him though but still fact is fact. May be Kessel can do it this year? *lol* I'll be happy with *only* 40 and a post season birth.
