  • The sculptural aspects of the deadwood that you see on this particular tree are quite a bit more complex than you see on many trees. It would require quite a bit of know-how to replicate the swirling qualities.

  • To get deadwood effects (mainly used on junipers) you are essentially peeling off the live bark and painting it with diluted lime sulfur. To do this right though, without killing the tree, requires knowledge that you could best get through a good book on bonsai or, better yet, your local bonsai club.

  • how do you make the tree get the white deadwood like that ... i have watched many vids of trees and many have the dead wood like your tree hear how was it created ?
