Gut-strung copy of a Lacote guitar. I'm using the technique outlined in Sor's Method.

I've become ever more interested in the early 19th century guitar to use to play the music of that period, especially the Lacote guitar. It sounds so much more convincing than it does on later instruments.

I'm so tempted to try to make them.

You should do. They are relatively simple, but very beautiful, and, as you say, suit the music better.
