  • I like the watch check on takeoff-- another flying fuel emergency--- what do you get at airshow weight-10 minutes or less? I hear from hammerjet from time to time-- he loves his

  • I'm not sure what "watch check" you're seeing. I do close the vent window on takeoff because the air blows directly in my face. At airshow weight, I can fly easily for more than 30 minutes. An hour if I'm not performing low level aerobatics. Who is Hammerjet?

  • Hi Bob, This is really great! What I got from the comments is, that you use Twin jets which use 5 Gallon for 18 min of flight - on full power.

Can you please give us some additional information:

    - what is the range (and fuel consumption) at travel speed

    - What type/model of Plane are you using

    - What is the highest speed and travel speed

    - Did you build the whole plane by yourself

    Kind regards!

  • A jet engine is only for the takeoff, the pilot is only showing what is the twin jet capable of with a light waight sailplane, just a demonstration, which seem to be very good. I love the idea of an engine, it makes things a lot easier.

  • those jet engines look like something you would use on a scale rc plane.

  • @johnnyjet33030 yes... but once the fuel runs out, it just returns to being a glider.... :-D

  • @furvert101 oh ha! nevermind.... just next to the description... :D

  • omg i know that song, but i dont know what it is... hahahaha!!! any help? the voice sounded a lot like rob zombie...

  • Its on my list ... buy a glider, fix turbines and travel a lot :)

  • @miguelonzky Try flying one, you will see that sailplanes are not noiseless once you are in one :)

  • I cant wait to see your performance here in El Paso , Texas

  • I do not see the need of an engine for this kind of sailplanes, the principles of sail plane it is to fly just towed up and with the termals noiseless.

you are burning fuel and making noise!!! no sense.

  • could those 2 engines power a small jet BD-5 size, or will they only power a plane with huge wings for ample lift at smallish thrust

  • @airshowbob your the one in the glider
