  • got to the stage where need to cut the side panels and re-attach, when you take the quarter panel off and then cut the wing how do you then we attach the two 2gether?

  • cut the pannel shorter, but leave an inch and a half extra to bend around with mole grips. drill the hole back in and re bolt to the end ligh cluster pannel.

  • Harry mate what was the reason you bobtailed it in a stagered stair style, instead of straight down and weld back on? Is it because strength or is there another reason?

  • yeah, for strength and because it would have been harder to hold it all still otherwise to weld it up. there are lots of peices that get in the way too unless you do it steped.

  • thanks for taking time to show this, will be bobtailing a disco when i've got a bit of time, this gives me an excellent idea of how i'll go about it

  • kl, good luck. make sure you take lots of pics/vids for youtube, plus they are good to look back at and see how you actually did it!

    cheers H
