@Teflon65 Me, too. I recall those commercials

My mom used to use Cold Power XE, which I think was a newer, improved version of this product. At that time (mid-1970s), we only had a washing machine, and no dryer...my mother would hang clothes to air dry on a big clothesline my dad put up in our basement. I love these vintage commercials...and Ginger, your testimonial sounds so poised and professional!

Wow. I had forgotten about Cold Power detergent.

Egads, now I'm waiting for someone to make a "Ginger Shingler rap" video, like they do to those Wilford Brimley commercials!

@NipkowDisk your video of the washing machine, no wonder there were holes in your clothes!!!! Ginger

I remember our family actually trying out Cold Power way-back-when. IIRC it did seem to clean pretty well- perhaps TOO well- as I recall that our clothes wound up with more holes than ever in them! Of course we stopped using it after the breathing-fabric fiasco...

Are you really the woman in this commercial? WOW!!!! I'm writing to a real celebrity LOL!!!! While i dont remember this commercial specifically, i do remember Cold Power. I was a kid back then and i always thought the box was cool looking with that big wave.

I remember seeing these commercials along with the depressing soap operas my mom used to watch when I was a kid. I can still hear that dreadful durge from the "Days of our Lives" theme song.
