"We'll Meet Again" is a 1939 song made famous by British singer Vera Lynn with music and lyrics written by Ross Parker and Hughie Charles
The song is one of the most famous songs of the Second World War era, and resonated with soldiers going off to fight and their families and sweethearts. The assertion that "we'll meet again" is optimistic, as many soldiers did not survive to see their loved ones again. Indeed, the meeting place at some unspecified time in the future would have been seen by many who lost loved ones to be heaven.

Lyrics:
We'll meet again
Don't know where
Don't know when
But I know we'll meet again
Some sunny day
Keep smiling through
Just like you always do
'Till the blue skies
Drive the dark clouds far away

So, will you please say hello
To the folks that I know
Tell them I won't be long
They'll be happy to know
That as you saw me go
I was singing this song

We'll meet again
Don't know where
Don't know when
But I know we'll meet again
Some sunny day

We'll meet again
Don't know where
Don't know when
But I know we'll meet again
Some sunny day
Keep smiling through
Just like you always do
'Till the blue skies
Drive the dark clouds far away

So, will you please say hello
To the folks that I know
Tell them I won't be long
They'll be happy to know
That as you saw me go
I was singing this song

We'll meet again
Don't know where
Don't know when
But I know we'll meet again
Some sunny day

When I hear this, I think of my old and recently passed Neighbor Bob.

He was a World War 2 Veteran, a flight Lieutenant to be exact, he flew a Spitfire over North Africa, he gained many medals and he was the greatest neighbor and what was so great was when we were 6 years old he gave me and my now 15 year old brother with Mars Bars, we chuckled over his stories and we always had a laugh.

Recently, he passed away, this makes me think of him.

And it could also be said that Romania is "meeting" the outside world again, now that the Ceaucescus are gone! The sun shines again on Eastern Europe and communication with people in other countries has been restored, despite everything Nicolae and Elena did to prevent it. ;>)

British, Russian, American, French, and German soldiers are represented in this video.

I think the point the video's makers had in mind is that each soldier wore the uniform of his country (the one he was given), and all believed they went to war to serve their countries.

I'm not making excuses for anyone; I'm just sayin'.
