Roppongi Edge club
I was inspired by a photo of Moroccan Camles by Simon Cotterill and decided to write a song for the photo. THe music is from PUCK, a solo piece by Norwegian composer E.H. Grieg . I added new melody lines in order to create a new song, I imagined camels walking in Sahara desert, I used middle eastern percussion for the rhythm and an Islamic Quran prayer motif and Arabian sound for the melody to depict Morocco as an Islamic country. For tonight `s performance , since I was very fortunate to have been able to collaborate with the renowned saxophone player Ryan Knight , I used soprano saxophone for the melody of the song. composer : E.H Grieg , Dewi Puspita
