don't know if i need to do this but i do not own or did something about the links i gave.

steps:
Welcome to my tutorial. how to import a song in fof.

1st
open audacity(link is in discription)

2nd
open the song u want to import.

third
export it as a ogg vorbis file.
to ur desktop.

4th
open freetar editor.
(link in discription)

5th
open the ogg file u just created.
just import some notes.
it doesn't care where.

6th
save it to ur desktop.
name it the name of the song.

7th
open the site.
(in discription)

8th
open the song u just created in freetar editor. save it to ur desktop.

9th
open the fof map/data/
songs.

10th
create a map with the name of the song.

11th
copy and paste the notes u just converted.

12th
copy and paste the ogg file u created a while back.
name it guitar.
do that again only name it song.

13th
open notepad

14th
this is what u need to type:
[song]
Name =
artist =

15th
save it to ur desktop as:
song.ini

16th
copy and paste it to ur map u made in fof/data/
song

17th
open frets on fire and ur song is their ready to play.

18th
u must place all the notes wich sucks.

  • Try listening to the song a few times, especially the guitarwork. As you listen, "chart" the song in your head. I would chart customs like this...

  • You need the song in MP3 format. Try searching for "Audio File Converters" on Google.

  • You need the LAME MP3 Encoder to export Audacity Projects to MP3 or OGG files. Just Google search "lame_enc.dll" and you'll find it.
