ABM's: Did Obama just end Bush's political game?

Robert Gates and Barack Obama say that they will no longer pursue plans to deploy ABMs in Poland and the Czech Republic, a decision that Barack Obama inherited from former president George W. Bush. Gates says that the U.S. has 'new' technology that would reduce the threats; however, it seems that sea based interceptors had been in place long before Bush made this decision. The question then becomes, was this just a political game that George W. Bush started and Barack Obama ended? And did this have anything to do with Iran in the first place or was the Bush administration just trying to divide Europe to its liking? RT's Dina Gusovsky talks to Daryl Kimball from the Arms Control Association.

if you ask me, and it's just my opinion... obama was planning to put missiles at the border, but russia probably agreed to help put pressure on iran's nuclear missile program in return for us to put an end to the missiles...but that just seems like whats happening to me. But watch and see if russia begins to help us in quelling their development.

Obama used common sense, something his predecessor lacked. Building a missile defence shield sounds like a good idea, but where's the money?Ffor starters, the US can't foot the cost of building and testing it as two fruitless wars are sucking it dry and it owes A LOT of money, hence the financial reforms proposed under Obama.
