LDS theology teach that people that smoke tobacco, drink coffee or tea cannot live with God when they die (if they continue to smoke tobacco, drink coffee or tea) Does it prove LDS church to be true, now that scientist know that some of it can be harmful?

  • @chadro85 I agree. There will always be disbelievers no matter what the LDS people do. There are people that don't believe in the holocaust despite the evidence surrounding that. In any case, I read the golden plates were delivered to Moroni and taken back to heaven. I hope you come to a true saving faith in Jesus Christ, friend. Please read John or Romans and truly consider what is said. God Bless.

  • @watk6095 (well btw because of satan, even if we did show them to the public, there would still be disbelievers and i really think theres no need to show them) but anyways i guess i'll start telling you where they are. 1st.if your coming by plane go to salt lake city (the capitol) then get I-15 going southbound. maybe about after 15-20 mins there'll be a green sign over head saying "ski areas" then an logo of each resort. "brighton", "alta", "snowbird" "solitude" (tbc)

  • @chadro85 So produce them! It would put an end to this entire discussion. Case closed! Problem solved! We Christians would eat our words! It would actually be the first physical evidence for the book of mormon which would give it at least something tangible. The most glaring embarassment for the church would finally be over. Please, I beg you...I'm so very weary of correcting mormon theology.

  • @watk6095 yeah we still have the golden plates they're in a vault. (and obviously i don't have them lol, but i can tell you where they are and how to get there)

  • @chadro85 If you have the golden plates, then simply present them. If you don't have them, well then my friend, you can't claim evidence you are not able to produce. It's like me saying, "The original manuscripts of the bible testify to its accuracy." I have read the book of mormon and prayed about it, and every time I do, my God tells me it was written by Joseph Smith in the 1800s. My God shows me the evidence.

  • @watk6095 have you read the book of mormon and prayed about it ? because if you really do know your god he will tell you the right thing about it, 2 your question: i would say the golden plate are pretty good "manuscript evidence"

  • @chadro85 Again, we know it is the original through manuscript evidence. We are positive that the text was not altered after the church fell into apostasy through manuscripts like the dead sea scrolls. Furthermore, I know my God is not a God of confusion and will preserve his word from generation to generation (Psalm 12:6-7). And you're avoiding my question, what manuscript evidence from antiquity is there for the Book of Mormon?

  • @watk6095 ok how do you know the "original text" really is an original? how do you know satan (through people of course) ment to miss the erorrs and not tell anyone?

  • @chadro85 The bible has been verified by the numerous manuscripts in existence. Any translational errors can be rectified by simply looking at the original text. Any intentional errors would have been caught and expunged. The transcription process was not something taken lightly; it was serious business. To claim the bible has changed from what it was originally is false. There is manuscript evidence. by the way, what manuscript evidence from antiquity is there for the Book of Mormon?

  • @watk6095 the bible has lots gotten lots of erorrs over thousands of year some may have been through translation others maybe intentional. long story short at that time it had to many erorrs. thus causeing people to believe the wrong things
