One of my first ever flights as I learned to fly a model helicopter. I chose to learn on a nitro helicopter (in at the deep end, some may say!). This model is a Hirobo Sceadu with a .50 size nitro engine. The smoke is normal for a 2-stroke engine like this as the fuel is a mixture of methanol, nitromethane and a synthetic oil which lubricates and cools the engine. The fuel mixture wasn't quite right and so the revs are lower than they should be. The fibreglass blades weren't quite balanced and have now been replaced with carbon fiber.

  • @somethinextra Thanks! Good luck. Don't give up if it feels difficult at first and remember that if you haven't crashed, you haven't truly flown ;)

  • Nice Flying,Got me a cheap Chinese electric HK 450 ..Hope I am as good as you in controlling it....
