http://www.BeaconHillBusinessAssociation.org - Despite the cold temperatures, The Beacon Hill Holiday Stroll brought people out of their homes and into Beacon Hill, where Charles Street was blocked off for the evening allowing residents and visitors to freely walk the streets, enjoying the stores, food and entertainment.
Even the long awaited "CurleyCakes" was open for business, a new venture by restauranteur Todd English.
Champagne cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, cookies, crepes and so much more greeted shoppers as they browsed from store to store, serenaded by carolers and a brass band. Horse drawn carriage rides were available all evening, culminating with the lighting of the tree and a visit by Santa Claus.
