In Madden, you WANT to hit the defenders on a dive, because they propel you into the endzone. Even if your OL are pushing forward, you'd rather hit the defenders, as the OL will just stop you entirely.

In BB, you DON'T want to hit the defenders, because even a shot to the legs will slow you down. The whole reason for the high dive is so you can lean over and get the ball over the line, and so your weight can push you forward.

In BB your momentum matters, its fine to hit the defenders if you are moving quicker and are at a better angle you will propel yourself into the endzone no matter if they hit you. That's actually one of my favorite ways to score in BB, plowing over defenders. Just to add also, in BB anytime your near a first down or the goaline he will reach the ball out to try to score. It doesn't matter what I think is closer to real football, it only matters what game you personally choose to like.@ckool5000

i cant figure out how to dive like that, because when i hold down the square button to high dive he just dives low. how do u dive like that?

@horrorfan1590 I have it for 360 using the standard controls, so for me to do it I have to push in the right stick and then up (while still pushing right stick in). I usually only dive when near the endzone and he will perform a high dive. If you dive somewhere else he might only do a regular dive. Hope I helped some.
