A California Condor feasting on a dead calf, filmed at the Oregon Zoo Condor Breeding Facility in Clackamas County Oregon. Right now, all Condors bred in this facility are taken to California or Arizona to be released, though there is strong evidence that they were found through a large area of western North America before European settlement. The use of lead ammunition has been a major factor contributing to their decline, and it remains the biggest obstacle to their reintroduction in other parts of their former range.
