  • Awesome footage. These rocket boosters detach at about 220,000 feet, and fall for a couple minutes before releasing a parachute at about 15,000 feet.

    They land in the water, usually about 140 miles off the east coast of Florida and are taken back, taken apart, cleaned and recycled for the next mission.
