More at http://www.theuptake.org. CBS's Bob Schieffer tells Max Blumenthal that his co-anchor Katie Couric was wrong about sexism in the media hurting Sen. Hillary Clinton's chances. Couric can't hear the question...or can she?

  • Ok seriously, Mr. Max Blumenthal... What are you trying to start by this?

  • If Lindsay Lohan was a man,she would be given a free pass like King Brat Charlie Sheehan!

  • Why is the reporter acting like Couric is being a bitch by not responding. If she is on the air then she is fucking busy- wait a goddamn second.

It's not like she hasn't made long speeches about sexism before. They act like she's avoiding it, but she never has. Anyone who buys into this has no ability to think for themselves.

  • While, I will agree that there is bias by certain members of the media (who the bias is against depends on what member of the media we are talking about), Schieffer's analysis of the Clinton campaign's failure is spot-on. The campaign was run very poorly and was its own undoing.

  • Well I agree with the criticism of the interviewer...on the other hand maybe the pressure of wanting to get a question in when someone is waving you goodbye causes you to shorten to "Bob says there's no sexism." I like Schieffer even more after this though...

  • I really hate these sports metaphors describing politics. There's probably some truth to the "game" of who's the best manipulator of the public, but I still hate it. The TV people like Schieffer must find the strategy, PR, and advertising BS more interesting than the actual issues.

  • the reason i used to turn to the veracifier is to escape the hyperbole-as-fact reporting that's so common in the network. i agree with Jdubbleyoo.... this vid is no better than Fox reporting

  • and that is unattractiveness as a candidate, not as a woman. Just in case someone is going to try and twist that. And HRC is no hero either. She just barely redeemed herself for the damage she caused. That's it. No heroics at all. Now let's move on. The topic is Obama/Biden.

  • HRC was the shoe-in, the media portrayed her as the inevitable candidate. HRC ran a $250mill campaign into the ground in record time, ran out of money before the primaries even started, her "chief strategist" didn't even know the allocation rules for the biggest state California and so on. The blame goes to the captain, HRC lost because of her inability and unattractiveness, and all this BS about sexism, Bill's blunders, and bla bla is just pathetic excuses. Tired of this. This is Obama's time.

  • This Max is no better than a FOX news anchor.

He twisted Bob's comments in order to start a fight with Katie.

HE NEVER SAID THERE WAS NO SEXISM

    Maxi is a poor propagandist

  • The interviewer misrepresented Schieffer's position. He never said there wasn't any sexism in the media, as he implied to Coric; Schieffer only said that Hillary didn't have sexism to blame for not winning the nomination.
