8 years old female child, special needs; mentally retarded, with multiple dental caries and pyogenic granuloma in the lower left side of the mandible, this film demonstrating the surgical removal of the pyogenic granuloma.

    There is no direct relation, but most of the Down Syndromes are mentally retarded in different dgress that can not perform or cooperative to perfom the oral hygien measures, with the bad oral habbits like using the nursery bottles, sucking fermentable carbohydrates ect......Hence caries will develope.
