West Sussex County Council have approved their own plans to build a new special needs school next to London Meed Primary School in Burgess Hill.

Local residents have claimed that Chanctonbury road will be impossible to navigate during the school run as the situtation is bad enough with London Meed alone.

Are the residents lying? Surely the council wouldn't choose to build a school where the traffic won't cope.

  • Its just a epic nightmare when the new school opens the traffic will be chaos like a supermarket car park on a saturday moring and the heavy traffic after the british Grand prix mixed into one

The new school where london meed is it will be merging with court meadow and newick house school and the new school is woodlands meed, The newick house school buliding is to become Woodleands meed college

I think there be a traffic to school hour

The residents of chantboury road are not lying

  • that's not the most common route to the school the most common one is coming down from the station and up the hill

  • I don't know the area but the country definitely needs more specialist schools. What sort of disability will it provide for? Is there an alternative route residents can take if it does get as bad as they say?
