Namaskaram. I am Lakshmi Bhavani, an ardent student of Kuchipudi, the classical dance tradition from Andhra Pradesh. I have an MA in Kuchipudi Dance from University of Hyderabad and have also had the good fortune of learning this wonderful dance form under eminent Gurus - Padma Bhushan Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam master garu, Sri Mahankali Mohan garu, Sri Chinta Adinarayana Sarma garu and others.

Kuchipudi dance is traditionally taught and learnt through Guru-Sisya parampara - where the student learns her first steps under the direct guidance of the Guru. However, as a keen follower of this dance form I have observed that there are many aspirants across the world who want to learn this dance form but do not have access to a Guru, nor do we have any online self-learning programs to follow. This video - Kuchipudinatya Swayambodhini is my humble attempt to fill this gap. For those of you who do not have access to a Guru, this video provides a convenient and flexible way of learning Kuchipudi - at your own pace and from the comfort of your homes.
