"I'm Simon. I have Asperger's syndrome. I like space, circles and my brother Sam who always looks after me. I dislike feelings, other people, changes and romantic comedies with Hugh Grant."
"Simple Simon" is the story of 18 year-old Simon, a boy with Asperger's syndrome whose life is turned upside-down when his brother Sam is dumped by his girlfriend. To make his life work, Simon needs structure. He needs things to follow a certain pattern - with the same schedule, the same meals, the same clothes - week in week out. Sam is the one who's always taken care of Simon. Making him food in the shape of circles and helping him understand humans.

But with Sam depressed over the breakup with his girlfriend everything changes and Simon's world turns into chaos. Wanting things to get back to normal, Simon gives himself one mission - to find Sam a new girlfriend. Unfortunately Simon knows nothing about love and doesn't understand emotions - but he has a scientifically foolproof plan.

I'm a real aspie and I work in a bar and talk to shitloads of strangers. I have no problem with that, cause they have no impact on my life. But I have loads of problems talking to people who's close to me.

  • for those who liked this movie I recommend book written by Mark Haddon, 'The curious incident of the dog in the night-time'

    :)

  • @SuperDuperficial search Simple Simon | part 1 (Eng subs) on youtube and then you'll find it :)

  • @SuperDuperficial I also have a friend of mine with Asperger's and a bother with moderate Autism, and don't like being touched. So yeah people are different.

  • Ugh I want to see this but I can't find it online, hmm..

Looks funny though. And just makes me want to learn Swedish more. (:

  • @monstertruckess i don't see why not, i do it a lot, but never without a reason (and i am an aspie)

  • funny, eventhough I think it's quite improbable that a real aspie would go out and start conversations with unfamiliar people :D

  • very nice film :3

  • Where can I find this movie?

  • @letaltazman88 No problem mate :]
