The 1991 all-star game rendition is probably the most memorable performance of the anthem at Chicago Stadium/United Center. But the tradition actually began in 1985 in the Campbell Conference Finals against Edmonton. The Hawks were down 0-2 in the series and when the Hawks took the ice at the old stadium for game 3, the crowd erupted and didn't stop, even through both anthems. It has been a tradition ever since.
