As a citizen of WI I am disappointed that the Madison Police refused to help the capital police and worsened the situation by joining the protestors in their off duty hours. I also don't think it was out of line for Sen. Grothman to have referred to the protestors as slobs when one of them had spread human feces on a legislators doors.
This whole thing has been shameful and appalling.

Assuming Darling has read the Robert's Rules of Order (I would hope so, since she's been in the legislature for nearly 20 years now), she would know that the chair cannot debate with someone who has the floor. It clearly states that ALL OVER RRoO. I would have raised a Point of Order stating that the chair is no longer remaining impartial and should vacate the chair. Unfortunately, all the Repubs stick together so no go there...sigh...
