  • Republicans in the senate destroyed majority rule with the filibuster.

This guy is payed to argue for the far right radicals who fund his think tank.

  • I couldn't be more agreed with this man. The U.S Senate is an exceptional political body. Most countries (like mine) pass legislation to easily.

  • wat the helllll ???

  • The issue is not campaign finance. It is corruption. Corruption is endemic in American politics. It is endemic locally, nationally and at the state level. Interests opposing single payer are entrenched at all levels. They corrupt politics everywhere. When Obama first went to the US Senate, Michelle Obama (an official with a Chicago HMO) received a $200,000 pay raise simultaneously. Obama's rhetoric says he supports single payer, but his corrupt actions say otherwise.

  • Chest beating Robert Dove... over and over again.

  • @mikepalomino

If campaigns were financed exclusively by tax dollars, we wouldn't even by talking about filibusters because single payer would have passed through the Senate by 100-0.

  • @SocialDemocracyFTW Agreed, but...but..this is about the filibuster...

I like your YouTube username by the way : D

  • @Denbo68 I have to take issue with this one-sided presentation.

Were the American Enterprise Institute a Liberal think tank, Conservatives would howl that CSPAN was biased.

It shouldn't come as a surprise that this guy is going to come out and defend the filibuster and the obstructionism going on now in both houses. Where was he five or six years ago when Republicans were threatening the nuclear option for Democrats' opposition to Bush's judicial appointments.

    How about a counterpoint CSPAN?

  • Interesting viewpoint. His words I fear are not as convincing as they should be.
