This is one of my favourite Francoise Hardy recordings. Charted at #16 on UK Singles chart in March 1965. English version of "Dans Le Monde Entier".

Not many songs can still stop you in your tracks 45+ years after first hearing them but this one does. It's one of the few songs I would call perfect.

I was under 10 yrs old when I first heard this tune on radio or something and instantly fell in love with it. I didn't know what song it was or what it was about as I didn't speak Eng back then. It has taken me another 10 years to know the name of the song and decades to know the name of the original singer. To this day, I still find the wow effect this song has in me.

I commented somewhere else about this track (but can't find it!)
This is superb. I was 9 years of age when I first heard it in 1965 and it has those ambient, haunting tones that just stay with you forever.
