The Millennia TD-1 DI is an extraordinary Preamp, Re-amping device, with EQ, tube or solid state signal paths, and speaker soak technology. In part 1 of this video series we focus on tracking some electric guitar signals direct, using the DI into ProTools, and later move the Recording Studios tracking room to record through a variety of electric guitar amps including the Victoria Victorilux, and the Mojave Scorpion. Millennia is known for its clean sounds and accuracy, but here we demonstrate its versatility and tonal flexibility. A truly amazing studio or stage device that will clearly meet the needs of the most demanding studio guitarist, producer, or recording engineer. The flexibility of a world-class re-amping device such as this is endless, and we show just the tip of the iceberg here. Call Sound Pure learn more about it toll free 888.528.9703, and be sure and check out for our other videos on the TD-1.

  • are there any similiar devices anyone knows work good, other then $1400 piecies of gear

  • @metalupyourass9 If you are just looking for something to handle the re-amping portion, yes. We can discuss what is out there... that being said, this Millennia box does a whole lot more than just reamp. We can point you in the right direction for sure... wanna give us a shout by phone?

  • Thanks for the info I googled /researched it so now makes sense to me I see it can accept the direct signal from an amp which i hadnt realised Impressive piece of gear Thanks again for the info All the best

  • @ham60 It's our pleasure, this is definitely an incredible piece of gear. • Hi, pardon my ignorance but is the benefit to record silently into Pro Tools or other recording device and then re amp the recording through the Scorpion or other great amp which is then recorded to produce a "live" recording at volume ????

Am I missing something because wouldnt it be simpler to just plug into the amp

and record it as is? or will the eq on the TD-1 provide wider tone shaping

    options? Baffled but curious

I have a Scorpion which drew me here Thanks for your time

  • @ham60 There are a lot of benefits that include, choosing the guitar tone that you want for the mix, later in the game (after tracking the DI signal), Creating interesting tonal blends using one or more amp settings. Experimenting with mic positioning, editing/perfecting the DI signal without worrying about recording the amp, tracking in 1 point in time recording at another time/place, preserving the possibility of changing the guitar tone you've recorded later, tweak the amp while playing audio

  • @getawhatwhat1 Thanks for the comment, we enjoy participating with questions like these. We didn't have the impression that you did at all in that the tonal qualities retained by the TD-1 were excellent.. the sonic capabilities in post production are truly endless when you reamp... the sound you get is entirely dependent on the amp choices you make after the guitar performance has already occurred- a very cool thing in a lot of situations where the guitars can't be in front of the amp.

  • @remyleloup Thanks Remy, we could probably make 10x videos on this monstrous workhorse- this box is truly amazing. We will release 1-2 more videos about it- there is way too much to fit into a single video, that's for sure!

  • Fantastic piece of gear , I love mine for DI purposes with a bass sent directly in my IZ Corp RADAR 24 It was a " soundpure " with that groundbreaking recording chain
