This has got to be one of the all time great performances of Ave Maria. Consider her phrasing, dynamics, and what violinists call vibrato. They are all incredibly beautiful. I especially like her phrasing. She is a consummate artist.

After listening to Leontyne Price and Kathleen Battle, neither of whom did credit to this hymn, consider that... Kiri's interpretation is absolutely perfect. Quiet passion, perfect articulation (you hear every Latin word), lovely modulation (never out of control staying within the same volume range), and wonderful expressiveness in the way she caresses each sound. I know this piece well and this is perfection!
