i have a 08 lancer DE, which in 2008, the GTS had the 2.0L, which went to a 2.4L the following year. mine has a 2.0L, and I just want to soup it up a little bit. But I am honeslty not to smart about this kind of stuff, I mean, what is the difference between this and a cold air intake, ive seen these in cars, but they still have the stock plastic intake in them too, just kind of cunfuses me.

no that sound means they didnt put it on right. there is a leak somewhere. i had that sound cuz there was a leak a cm long. BAWB3 check for leaks cuz i will bet there is one

I got mine installed, is it normal for the growling sound when it hits 2000 RPM? And the 1st gear seem a little slow when taking off. Is this normail?

@ianhudon Oh really because I've had this video posted for almost 3 years now and I've yet to be criticized for it. The only reason I made the video was so people with the CVT could hear with the intake sounded like when they first came out with V2 intake. I don't even have the intake anymore, and the car is soon to be replaced by an evo so it doesn't really matter either way :)

The loud noise is normal for a short ram intake with the filter aimed directly at the cabin. I've actually removed and sold this intake because I got tired of it lol.

nice sound bro!!! any chance of a viud with it in full CVT. that "simulating shift" thing is cool as hell though
