www.ProGuitarShop.com - The Maxon PT-999 Phase Tone phaser pedal is one of Maxon's Reissue series, but far from most reissue pedals, the PT999 is an exact duplicate of the original pedal from 1974. The Maxon PT-999 Phase Tone is a four-stage phasing circuit that gives 720 degrees of phase sweep from .2 to 14hz. The PT-999 Phase Tone also features hand matched FET's for the smoothes phase possible. If the simplicity of the single Speed knob is not enough for you, the Maxon PT-999 Phase Tone also includes internal trimmers for adjusting width and center frequency of your phase effect.
The Maxon PT999 Phase Tone is an exceptionally smooth phaser that gives enough headroom to keep your signal clean and strong. The sweet low end throb is delightfully rich and textured and the high end stays intact without fizzing out or getting tinny. All Speed settings on the PT-999 are very usable and the phase effect is unmatched by any in its class. For simplicity and tonal bliss in a phaser pedal, the Maxon PT-999 Phase Tone is the one that you need.

Fine demo, Andy. This is probably the warmest, roundest, most musical phase pedal I've heard. Great Trower/Gilmour vibe. Also, this is by far the best sounding phaser I've heard while set at full speed...Excellent...Maxon makes great stuff. Add this one to my 'must get' list!

I like this better than the MXR ones. It's a bit warmer. It may be a bit mellow, but it can be make more intense by tweaking controls on the inside. Set 'er up to the intensity and frequency you like once and you'll be good to go. Maxon makes good stuff.
