nobody ever seems to address the washer and dryer or electric oven or a/c units !!! why? if it was truly off grid then they wouldnt have a propane bill!!! dont get me wrong im sold on green energy but i want info to run a/c and washer and dryer and electric oven. WORD!!

Amazing setup. Only gripe is this video isn't two hours long. So the boiler runs on propane, but the solar pre-heats the water? In other words, the boiler is not dual fuel (can run on Elec and Propane). So if solar is ample, then you don't need to burn propane, only run the elec pump to circulate the solar heated water. Hope I got this right. Brilliant system.

It was much less expensive than that. In addition, this is a second home. Wood stove is high maintainance. If a primary residence, that option would have been considered.
As for generator, no it does not run often. The key is design. Knowing the loads and frequency of demand and storage.
Batteries are deep cycling and longlife. Still much less expensive than paying $100,000 to bring electric to home.

Not a great battery bill. Batteries are deep cycling and long life with our waveform/power factor correction equipment on the system. Cost of the system was only a portion of what the cost the client would have paid to just get electricity to the location.
