@drummerdudeandy thank you very much and to answer your question, the snare is a Mapex 'Black Panther' with 24 karat gold hoops/hardware and black brass shell, although the Sonor matching white birch snare sounds great as you say this snare records and plays so well.

@StraightNoChaser86 It's basically a displaced open roll but the notes it's played over are a bit tricky to break down, give me a couple of days and I'll write it out and send it to your inbox.
