A quick fly through the history via TV, from 1925, the coronation of the Queen, the 1966 World Cup, the first man on the Moon, Teletext, the fall of the Berlin Wall, the launch of Channel 5 (an important event, no?) and the announcement of London as the host for the 2012 Olympics. But then the screen goes fuzzy, as it's time for digital switchover.

  • @jx866 Yes. Many people still have CRTs, incl me. In fact I'm watching a progressive one to reply.

  • @thisisfiveuk Digital box and the time to wait for them to rebroadcast using their ADCs - BELIEVE ME - ANALOGUE videotapes.

  • A very good showing of what has happened and what will happen.

  • Their 90s living room looks more mid-2000s to my eyes (apart from the TV), and is that a widescreen CRT in what is supposed to be the present day scene?
