DRSSTC Tesla Coil 300V-200A test #1 y08

You know what it is. Full bridge of FGA40n60s ($3 each 160A pulsed) running at 300V at about 200A. 26" sparks.

Primary: 9 turn 10" cone 0.1uF (2x3 of 0.15 2kv)
Secondary: 6"x24" 28awg 90khz

I'll stress test it once I get to show it off more and my HGTG20N60A4Ds come in, and I'll crank it up to 300-400A perhaps. Oh, yes, I did have it running at that power but my coupling was too high and something went terribly wrong.

They run quickly away. But only the lower part is too dangerous. The big sparks will just hurt. Although last year my friends were intentionally getting shocked by my smaller one.
