Cool! This might be a good investment if you suck in soldering.

Send me a Kakko 808 for review and I'll advertise your website on my site for 1 year..

@cocobearbear It's a great investment even if you are great at desoldering. The Hakko 808 can run all day long without damage, is probably the easiest desoldering tool to clean and maintain that I've ever used, always does a clean job and simplifies (and speeds up) the process immensely. Speed - with quality work combined - is vital for people like me that do a lot of laptop jack repairs.

WOW! That's Amazing!

I use the Hakko 808 for through hole desoldering. It's great once you get the hang of it. Unlike the video here, I don't stay on the contacts for more than a couple of seconds. In some cases you need to add a bit more solder to the joint before you attempt to desolder it. This helps transfer heat through the joint, allowing the 808 to completely clean it out. It's a great tool.

I've learned a lot by watching your vids.
Bought a Weller PU 81 solderstation and am about to purchase a desolderstation.
Would you recommend the Hakko 808?
I like it as it is self contained and seems a piece of quality.

hi
what is the liquid u have used before desoldering? and what for?
usooph 3 years ago
That's liquid flux. Not always necessary, but it can help to transfer heat and also reduce the surface tension of solder to help it flow.
