  • Yet another reason why I'll never switch to Linux. Who wants to go thru all this crap to be able to run their laptop wireless? I got the latest version of Ubuntu 10.04 but I'm not going to install it. Why can't Linux just WORK right out of the box. Why go through all these changes. People want stuff that works not stuff they have to tweak and pull their hair out with to get it to work. Nope, I'll stay with Windows 7 Ultimate.

  • @johnnynocaster Windows doesn't support wireless out of the box.

  • @johnnynocaster Linux would actualy be the better option usually as it's free and at least as good as windows 7. The only issue is its limited support. If windows was prepared to support linux distributions and write software packages fro linux users too it would make everything so much easier. It's ll a case of support, windows have decided to ignore it altogether or passively try to stamp out the OS, but as you can see its still being used by people. I like a challenge too ;)

  • @pos6666666 use the console and type in: "sudo apt-get update" after that, go into the downloadable content/add-ons that is built in, and find it. if the sudo apt-get update doesn't work, just find your driver in the built in downloads of ubuntu. message me for help.
