@KrushaBowsa actually in the review he did he said it just helps to support the ocarina while you play the high notes, as far as I know it shouldn't warp the sound in any way.

I noticed that at certain points you wrap your fingers around the end of the ocarina. Would you mind explaining why, does it do something to the sound?
