Those scooters are only good if you happen to be a handyman. As soon as i got my Chinese scooter, i went to work. and instead of using the crappy main parts (Carburetor, air filter, sprocket, muffler, and all that) i replaced all them with high quality American made parts. The scooter had worked like a goped and had lasted me six years SO FAR. If you are thinking about getting a scooter, do what i did. being a handyman is not as hard as it looks.

@Allthejunkyouwant i have one from 1987 i believe. with teh g2f engine. and oringal wheels on it. a gift. and it runs great i see very little chinese stuff lasting longer than a year.

@llamaslyr not even 3 years. you wish 3 years, but i learned my lesson with these mine diddnt work i had the dirt dog and goped sport.......sport broke on christmas morning

Thats a fucking CHINESE XG-499! I owned one. NOTICE the 'ed on the word own.
It lasted 6 months and the frame split in two and the topend of the CHINESE engine split in half when i was going WOT down the street.
Dont try to ruin the name GOPED with this shit. GOPED means a USA made Scooter that lasts 20 years like mine IS. Notice the IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you might want to tune it....it sounds absolutely terrible! and slow...if you don't know how to tune it look it up it's relatively easy.
