"Everything has to be afar still, far, o far from me, bloom aloft in starshine, homeland above me." These beautiful words are written in Johannes R. Becher's poem "Verfall", inspring this dark melancholic music that is yet full of hope and longing, like stars shining in the blackened sky.

Mainly violin and piano.

  • A Wonderful Poet and a Magnificent Song. I assume you wrote this - who performed it? You?

  • @spearofhope2 Yes, that is me on my good old violin playing. :) Thank you for checking in!

  • And still no matter how remote the stars maybe-- it seems the music brings them a little closer with moments like these. Thank you!

  • @garihatch Love this comment - wonderful if this is how you feel about it!
